This policy explains what information Pairs collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. We try to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@pairs.ai.
Pairs is the trade name of Paires Technologies Inc., a Delaware corporation. In this policy, Pairs ("Pairs", "we", "us", "our") is the operator of the website and services described in this policy.
We operate the website at pairs.ai (the "Site") and a private software workspace that we make available by invitation to selected users (the "Workspace"). The Site and the Workspace together are referred to as the "Service". Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, the data controller is Paires Technologies Inc.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Pairs is the controller of personal information described in this policy unless we expressly say otherwise.
This policy applies to:
It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to. When you leave the Site, this policy stops applying and the receiving site's own policy takes over.
When you submit an access request or otherwise contact us, we receive:
If you are granted access to the Workspace and use it, we receive the information you put into it, including:
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any information you put into the Workspace, including information about third parties such as co-founders or team members.
When you access the Service, we and our service providers automatically receive technical information including:
We may also receive information about you from third parties when you choose to connect a third-party account (such as a LinkedIn or calendar integration), or when professional or public sources confirm information you have given us. We will only ever use such information for the purposes set out in this policy.
We use information for the following purposes:
Where required by law, we rely on one of the following legal bases:
We do not train AI models on your content. The information you submit to the Workspace is not used to train general-purpose foundation models, our own models, or any third party's models, unless you give us your explicit consent.
The Workspace uses third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to process content you submit. When we send your content to one of these providers to generate a response, the request is governed by the provider's enterprise or API agreement with us, which contractually restricts how that provider may use your data. Specifically, the providers we use do not train their models on API content under those agreements.
AI outputs are generated by statistical models. They can be incorrect, incomplete, biased, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them. See our Terms of Use for more on AI disclaimers.
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
We share information with companies that help us operate the Service (sometimes called "sub-processors"). See section 7 for the current list.
If you are part of a company account, we may share information within that account so that authorized teammates and our team can collaborate with you. We will not share your account information with people outside your account except as described in this policy.
We may share information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to (a) comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, (b) enforce our agreements, (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Pairs, our users, or others, or (d) respond to an emergency.
If Pairs is involved in a financing, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, reorganization, or similar transaction, information may be transferred to the successor or acquirer. We will notify you and remain bound by the commitments in any prior privacy policy unless you accept a new one.
We share information with third parties when you direct us to do so, for example when you choose to connect an integration or share materials with a third party through the Workspace.
